I get field and stream and outdoor life but is there a more hiking or survival related magazine?

If you get near a magazine stand check the racks.  There are a ton of outdoor magazines.  I have found many this way.

The new issue of Wilderness Way is out now.

Other good magazines to read Backwoods Home, Countryside magazine, Backhome, Grit. These all have some type of info in them that can be used in self relience and possible survival situations.

Any new additions to this list?

Any ideas for online magazines?

I just signed up for Alderleaf Wilderness Colleges e-zine.  Looks like some interesting items in the back issues.

Wilderness Way, Back Woodsman are tow of my favorites. Hoodlums Survival Quarterly just released it's first issue.

The March issue of Outdoor Life is "The Survival Issue"...it's been laying here on my desk for a few days but I haven't had a chance to read it yet.
