This is a very interesting article on human vision and how it relates to our awareness. I've been practicing many of these principles through years of martial arts and bush rambling... this article explains it in black and white.

They were playing not only over their heads, but "out of their heads," operating on instinct and maybe inspiration.

I have had the same experiance shooting at running coyotes. ( I know its a strange connection) Sometimes there just seems to be an invisable connection between my rifle and the running target. An instinctual flow of leading the target, distance, timing and steady sighting of the rifle.

Coyotes are one of the fastest land animals and very few people master being able to hit such a fast running target.I miss way more than I hit but sometime things just seem to come together. You can over think the process very easily and I often do but I actually let the natural flow take hold and the result is inevetable.
I hope the war on terror goes better then the war on drugs and the war on poverty

Im a survivor not a victim
Its not who I am but what I do that defines me.
